Dear family,
hello my name is laura and i live in minnesota. i am currently involved in FCCLA and i dont know if you know what that is or not but i am trying to raise awareness for how the economy is effecting familys across the u.s. if it would not be insulting to you i was wondering if you wanted to e-mail with some information on what you are going through. i know that i am not able to help you because i am only 16 but i will try and help to show other people what really happens behind closed doors in this economy. my family is currently on food stamps and we are struggling too i want you to know that i mean this as not an insult but my way of helping. if you can e-mail me at juniorlj2013@live.com. thank you for your time and if i don't hear back i do understand. thank you Laura.

Well I am writing again for help this community has failed my family our water was turned off Wednesday and the power is being shut off Monday. I have contacted the places that were suggested and put in applications to no avail. I have pleaded for help and now they will want all the bill plus deposits and connect fees, I guess all this will be on someones mind as they eat, drink, shower and enjoy their cooking talents. The chidren will be so happy to know someone actually cared for a family down on their luck. What would you do? If you think I am being harsh in any way, I do not intend to offend just to say you people were on our hope list too! Sincerely, Sunangel1959
oh by the way you REALLY should edit your post and remove your phone number, it is VERY unsafe or smart idea tto post it to the whole world wide web. I am surprised the aidpage team has not removed your post them self because you are violating the rules of aidpage.

Managed to stave off the auctioning of my household goods, for the moment. I'm still waiting for a decision on unemployment - hopefully that will only be a matter of days and they will decide in my favor.
I want to move up to Seattle. I have been in contact with several agencies up there and they claim that they can put me to work, even if it is temporary. Thing is, I have to be there to work. So, again, waiting on unemployment and hoping for help to move. I really wouldn't need that much, as it is only me at this point. I've been pricing apartments and looking at jobs online, but not actually being there is a hinderance. I'm ready to go, have finished my work here, but I need help getting the funds to move. I figure that about $3000 ought to do it - that would be the actual drive and renting an apartment, getting services turned on and such.
Anybody have any ideas? I am, by trade, an administrative assistant, so I can do paperwork for anyone. I have a degree (masters!) and want to get to work, but where I am right now, there simply are no jobs.
Well, I haven't been here in a while. I ended up getting evicted from my apartment and moved from Texas to Oregon to stay with a friend. I'm still looking for work (it has now been over 2 years!) but, I have had interviews here, so things are looking up - or at least I like to think so. I find myself asking for help again, as when I left Texas I had to put all my stuff in storage. All my kids pictures and papers, all my school stuff & diplomas, furniture, kitchen stuff, the whole shebang. I was able to pay on it for several months, but now I am behind and I got the notice yesterday that I have until November 20th or it will all be sold at auction. I really don't think I could deal with that. After all that I have been through, all that I have overcome, all the sacrifices....that would truly be a final blow.
I owe about $300 at this point. To me it seems like a fortune. Perhaps if several people sent along parts of it, I could get enough caring people to help me pay it off. Please help me. I am still pushing along, trying to get work, looking in the Seattle area now and hoping that I can get a hand up in the world.
Well like the title says, "I've even maxxed out my credit cards!!!!!!!!!!!!" very true & unfortunate. I feel like I'm trapped in a bubble with no way of escaping.
I am nearly in the same situation. Both my husband and myself work and it seems that no matter how much we do we still come up short. This world sucks!
Maybe your hubby and/or you could start a home-based business? You will get great tax advantages plus be able to make your own hours while helping others save on healthcare. You can see if it's a good fit for you at http://www.iboplus.com/40466086. Let me know if you have any questions! - Rosie

I CANT AFFORD A BABYSITTER FOR MY KIDS!! LIGHTS WILL BE CUT OFF SOON!! GAS BILL IS 100 DOLLARS....IT WILL BE CUT OFF SOON. My name is Cami. I am eighteen years old. I am currently enrolled in Cosmetology school and working full time. I have just gained custody of my eleven year old sister because my mother was very abusive to her. I am having a very hard time trying to pay for school, my car payment, rent, groceries, and utilities. Every morning I have to get up at 5 am, get myself ready for work, wake up my sister, take her to school and be to work by 9 am. I don't get out of work until 6 so I have to make arrangments for my sister to go to daycare for a few hours when she gets out of school. I am trying to work as much overtime as I can, but it never seems to be enough.
my little boy has autism, a disability that affects the way a child communicates and responds to the world around him. no one really knows what causes autism and no one has a cure for it. most autistic adults have to be cared for by others the rest of their lives. so now comes the race with time to be one of the lucky few that is able to pull her child back to "real" world, and lead to him a productive and independent life as an adult. my son receives therapy (occupational, speech, physical, music, and even horseback) in an intensive regime five days a week.
most of the cost are covered by the state i live in, but being in my mid twenties i do not have any savings and it is only because of family and friends that i have the money for gas to get him to all these places each week. there is recent research indicating the use of service dogs for children with autism is having fantastic results, and recently my son was evaluated by my local service dog agency (Susquehanna Service Dogs), it was found that he would be helped in many ways by a service dog companion.
however, while most of the cost is covered by grants, the remaining 5000 is expected from the family. my son was so excited when he saw the therapy dog at the evaluation , he smiled, made eye contact with the dog, and got down on the floor face to face with him. for the first time in a long time he was free from his usual state of anxiety.
i am now searching every available option to help in the raising of the funds to enable him have this opportunity to enrich the quality of his life, and maybe lead to an independent adulthood for him. any information, ideas or help, would be appreciated . keystone human services Susquehanna Service Dogs autism speaks

My boyfriend of the last 3.5 years decided that he doesn't love me anymore and wants to break up. Now I'm forced to move back home. Home for me is in FL. I live in ND right now...that's where the bf was from...so I live here now and I NEED to get back home...I need to have the love and support from my family! I'm 5 months pregnant and my little boy is 15 months old. I haven't got enought money saved up for this move because it came out of nowhere. I need to have $5000 to move and I only have $500...so I need help coming up with $4500. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU CAN!!!
We are a family of five - mom, dad, 13-year-old daughter, 7-year-old daughter, and 5-month-old daughter - struggling to make ends meet on my teacher's salary. My husband has been unemployed for almost two years now. I just came back from maternity leave, and because of how the pay schedule works (it's a long and complicated story) I'm now making over $600 less per month. We just don't make enough to pay our bills each month. We are months behind on our car loan, and are days away from getting our electric and gas shut off. My husband has looked for work, but has only been able to find jobs that would pay less than what we'd need to put the kids in daycare. I've tried taking on an additional part-time job at a near-by church, but now I'll be away from my family for over 60 hours a week. We just need something to get us caught up! If we were at "0" then we could stay on top of things, but being behind is just killing us.
Where do I begin? I just discovered this website today. I am a single mom. I work full time. My five year old son is the most important thing in the world to me. I am struggling with just paying for my utilities and for groceries. I made the huge mistake of using credit cards to pay for groceries, car repairs, and utilities. I am considering getting a second job in order to have more money in the bank. I am so sad, because I want to have as much mommy time as possible with my little boy. If I work on the weekends, I will hardly ever see him. If anyone could help me with a $3000.00 credit card debt that has been building for several years, I would be very thankful.
